Born
and raised in Hawaii, Andy Vierra got into radio
while attending the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
At the age of 24 he was named Program Director
for Hawaii's foremost news-talk station, KGU,
making him at the time the youngest "PD"
in the format nationwide.
Andy Moved to "the mainland"
in 1986 to take a job at Reno's top news-talk
station, KOH. From there he went on to programming
stints in the Los Angeles area and Santa Barbara
before coming to Las Vegas. He's been Program
Director for KNUU since 1999. |

Kahala
brings a wide variety of experience to her plate
as "Good Morning" news anchor for K-News.
Her entertainment background as a professional hula
dancer in Waikiki spills into her news copy, which
she strives to deliver in a refreshing and entertaining
way. As a former promotions executive for a major
Japanese company, she brings a business perspective
important to K-News' core listeners.
Kahala's broadcasting experience runs
the gamut from television news anchor and reporter
in Reno, to disk jockey for a top radio station
in the Los Angeles area. Her overall experience
makes her one of the more diverse and talented broadcasters
in the business.

Jerry
Gordon
Afternoon News Anchor

Jerry
had to interrupt his radio career to finish
High School (He started on the air at the age
of 15).
Jerry's been at KNUU since 1995 after spending
20 years in San Francisco doing news and entertainment
reporting on the ABC Owned radio and TV stations
there. He also was a personality on Gene Autry's
KSFO.
Jerry has been on the air in Boston, Orlando,
Sacramento, San Antonio and Columbus over the
years. He does national voice over work, including
being the voice of Disney for over ten years. |

Sande

Al
went on the air in 1972 as a program director
for 2 different country music stations in the
70's. Al worked as D.J. for a classic rock station
for 10-years in the 80's. In the 90's, Al became
the commercial production manager and newscaster
for a number one station in the pacific northwest.
In 1999 Al went to work as a account executive
for a newspaper until 2002. Then Al's desire
in radio brought him to KNUU where he works
in sales and production. |

Servino

Jim
has worked in radio broadcasting for the past 30 years
and started at his college station.
He has been a radio owner and manager and has
worked in New Jersey, Utah, Washington and Oregon.
Jim and his wife moved to Nevada in 2006. He is on the board of directors of the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club of Green Valley. |

Carol has
worked in media for more than 25 years in television,
radio, and print. She started her career in television
news in Washington D.C. before moving to North
Carolina. There, she produced a weekly news show,
documentaries, and entertainment segments. Switching
her career to radio sales and management, she
worked in North Carolina, Georgia, and most recently
- Las Vegas. |

Santo brings over 25 years of marketing and sales experience to KNUU. He moved to Las Vegas in June 2004, from the Boston area where he owned and operated a successful franchise print company. In addition to the graphic arts industry, Santo has also worked in travel. He and his wife live in the Aliante community of North Las Vegas.

Carol
was born and raised in Germany. She was a former
Miss Honda and modeled in the Philippines. Carol
has been in Las Vegas in 1980. Since moving to
Las Vegas Carol has made her career in the real
estate field. Her expertise was in processing
escrow documents. To explore a new field Carol
began working here at KNUU in December of 2004
as our traffic and office manager. |
